Hi, I’m Daartey — a PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences, specialising in pharmacology with a focus on pediatric oncology. My research centres on two of the most challenging childhood cancers: neuroblastoma and medulloblastoma.

My work spans drug discovery, targeted therapies, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, epigenetics, and cell signalling mechanisms. Specifically, I investigate how molecular alterations in tumour signalling pathways — including MAPK/ERK, PI3K/AKT, and epigenetic regulators — can be exploited to develop safer, more selective treatments for children who currently have very limited options.

I’m driven by the belief that understanding the molecular underpinnings of pediatric cancers is the key to building better, safer treatments for children. And I believe that science only matters if it reaches beyond the lab. Through BreathPharma, I translate rigorous science into writing that anyone can engage with — without watering down the substance.

Hi, I’m Abosede — a PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a concentration in Medicinal Chemistry. My research focuses on the discovery and development of selective PARP2 inhibitors as potential therapies for prostate cancer, with a particular interest in how targeted small molecules can modulate cancer-driving pathways and improve treatment outcomes.

My work sits at the intersection of medicinal chemistry, drug discovery, chemical biology, and oncology. From designing and synthesising novel compounds to evaluating their biological activity, I am fascinated by the process of transforming scientific ideas into potential therapeutic solutions.

Beyond the laboratory, I am passionate about the future of pharmaceutical innovation, scientific communication, and expanding opportunities for the next generation of scientists.
